In Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has apprehended a man suspected of trafficking human body parts. Nuhu Ezra, residing in Gosa Kipikipi village, Lugbe, was captured on July 9, 2024, around 9 p.m. with a human skull and bones by operatives from the Iddo police division.

Police sources disclosed that Ezra was discovered in possession of these remains during a hunting expedition in Kuje, where he allegedly planned to sell them for N600,000. Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest and advised residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

Adeh stated, “The suspect, Nuhu Ezra, claimed he found the human skull and bones while hunting in Kuje. His intention was to sell them for N600,000.”

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police for the FCT, Benneth Igweh, has ordered a comprehensive investigation to determine the origin of the human remains, identify the prospective buyer, and ascertain the duration of Ezra’s involvement in such activities.

Ezra is currently in police custody pending the conclusion of the investigation, after which he will face charges in court.
