Afrobeats artist Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has shared that Grammy-winning artist Wizkid is a significant source of inspiration for him.
Asake made this revelation while discussing his recent collaboration with Wizkid on his new third studio album, ‘Lungu Boy.’ In particular, he highlighted their joint track, ‘MMS,’ which is available on digital streaming platforms. Asake expressed his long-standing desire to work with Wizkid and noted that the collaboration was a natural choice for him.
He elaborated, “It’s well known that Wizkid is a major inspiration for me. As a young artist in Lagos, I had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to work with him, so when it finally came, it was an easy decision.”
The track ‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and represents Asake’s musical journey.
