Controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has reported a troubling attack at a Lagos event. Drivetvnews shares that Portable took to Instagram to reveal that he and his team were targeted by a group named “Egbon Adugbo” during a celebration in the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos.
Portable was at the event to support a friend who deals in cars when the incident occurred. He mentioned that his presence and actions at the celebration drew negative attention, leading to a violent clash.
According to Portable, the attackers not only injured him severely but also stole valuable items, including his jewelry, two iPhones belonging to a manager, an ATM card, one of his cars, and other personal belongings.
In his Instagram post, Portable expressed, “Trouble erupted around Iju Ishaga. We attended a celebration with @lincon_orn, a car dealer, and during our performance in Adugbo, the Egbon Adugbo group attacked us. The ZEHNATION team is still missing. They attacked my crew after I managed to escape.”
He added, “@lincon_orn should assist in retrieving @iam_sexyshay’s two iPhones and my ATM card from the Egbon Adugbo group. We found @dullarboi’s phones and car, but he remains missing. I have not seen @bamidola_ either; reports suggest he was attacked as well. These are my missing artists.”
Portable concluded his post with a plea, “God, don’t let us be shamed. These people are wicked. They stole my ice chain and gold earrings after I had shown them kindness and given them all my money. They even took my bag. Are they fans or enemies?”
