On Thursday morning, heavy rainfall caused severe flooding in the Adun-in, Abogunde, and Ogbomoso Baptist High School areas of Ogbomoso, leaving thousands of residents stranded near the banks of the Adun-in and Baaki rivers.

BCOS reporter Aderemi Akanmu, who visited the affected locations, observed residents gathering along the riverbanks. Some locals, including Martins Chukwuno, Omowumi Oluwadarasinmi, Bello Mikhail, and Oladayo Oyetunde, voiced their concerns about the flooding. They urged the state and local authorities to step in and dredge the rivers to ensure a smoother water flow and prevent future occurrences.

In the Abogunde area, the flooding was so severe that some residents had to evacuate their homes to escape the rising waters.
