Nigerians have been encouraged to keep on praying for the nation’s leaders, asking God to grant them wisdom and understanding to effectively govern the country. Citizens were also advised to remain dedicated to national service and to maintain a positive outlook in their evaluations and declarations about the nation.

This message was delivered by Rev. Mother Abimbola Ajayi, Founder of the Love of Christ Generation Cherubim and Seraphim Church, during the 11th Annual General Conference of the Lagos State chapter of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria. The event was held at the Eternal Sacred Order Alpha et Omega Church of Christ in Ilasamaja, Lagos.

Rev. Mother Ajayi highlighted the importance of prayer during these challenging times, stressing that it is crucial for leaders to receive divine support in their decision-making. She acknowledged the efforts of the country’s leaders in addressing the struggles of the people but noted that continued prayers would further help them achieve their objectives.

She said, “The current situation in the country is difficult, but we cannot overcome these challenges without persistent prayers for our leaders to guide them in making the right choices. While they are working to alleviate the hardships of the citizens, our prayers will help them fulfill their aspirations more effectively.”

She also praised the progress being made within white garment churches, stating, “It is remarkable to see how God is moving among white garment churches in Lagos State and beyond. There was a time when these churches were undervalued, but those days are gone. Now, we see God’s work in our midst, and we must strive for unity among all white garment churches to collectively use our spiritual gifts to contribute to national development.”

In his keynote address at the conference, Taiwo Akinsola urged Christians to rely on prayer and sincere worship as a means to overcome life’s challenges. He emphasized that true devotion to God is the only way to achieve peace, harmony, and stability in society.

Additionally, Segun Adio, the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Unification Church, commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his efforts in fostering religious harmony among Lagos residents.
