Auto Crash in Ondo Claims Lives of Three Police Officers and a female Suspect

Three police officers and a female suspect lost their lives in a fatal crash on Ore Bridge in Ondo State’s Odigbo Local Government Area on Friday.

The officers, members of the state police command’s monitoring unit, were traveling from Akure to carry out an arrest in Ore when the accident occurred.

An eyewitness, who preferred to remain anonymous, shared that the officers died instantly. “We heard a loud crash and rushed to the scene. When we arrived, we saw that the victims were police officers. Three of them were dead on the spot, and one was injured,” the witness explained.

The injured officer was immediately taken to the hospital, and it was later confirmed that the female victim was the suspect the officers had been sent to arrest.

Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the Police Public Relations Officer for Ondo State, confirmed the incident and stated that the police command would issue a formal statement.

Additionally, the State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) mentioned that a detailed report on the accident would be provided soon.
