A corps member at an NYSC camp reportedly faced disciplinary action from a soldier after confronting him over a damaged phone.

The incident was shared on social media by a user identified as @Nifemi_Bill, who claimed the individual involved was his friend.

According to @Nifemi_Bill, soldiers at the Adamawa NYSC camp accidentally broke his friend’s phone. When he confronted them about it, one of the soldiers allegedly ordered him to assume a squatting position, mimicking someone riding a motorcycle, as a form of punishment.

Sharing a video of the event, @Nifemi_Bill wrote:

“A friend of ours went to Adamawa for NYSC camp.
We lost contact with him for days and assumed it was a network issue. It turns out a soldier broke his phone by mistake, and when he reacted, they punished him—even though he’s a first-class graduate.”

He further stated:

“Someone randomly came across this video on TikTok and sent it to us.
He might still be facing punishment—we can’t be sure.”

In response to reactions, @Nifemi_Bill clarified that his post was not intended for attention-seeking. He apologized for using a laughing emoji, explaining that some had misinterpreted his intent. He urged people to share the post or tag someone who could assist rather than making dismissive comments.
