A reported disagreement has emerged between the father of late gospel artist Toluwanisings and his wife over where he should be buried.
According to reports, the late gospel artist’s father wants his son buried at the family home or in Ikirun, Osun State, where his late mother was laid to rest. However, his wife reportedly prefers that he be buried in a cemetery in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The report also revealed that the deceased’s father lives in a rented single room in Ikirun.
Speaking about his late son, the father disclosed that his real name was Sadiq Olayemi Bayonle and that he was born in July 1992. He reportedly lost his mother when he was just six months old and was raised by his maternal relatives in a Christian home.
He also explained that the late gospel artist’s elder brother played an important role in raising him.
Toluwanisings reportedly attended Yaba College of Technology and later met his wife through a church choir in Lagos. His family, according to the report, comprises both Christians and Muslims.
The father further claimed that his son had promised, a day before his death, to help his younger half-sibling become established in life.
He described the late gospel artist as a caring son and brother who showed concern for his family.
As of the time of the report, the burial arrangements had not been independently confirmed.
