Controversial hip-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly apologized to Fuji legend King Saheed Osupa after previously insulting him.

According to Naija News, the dispute arose when Portable’s song was taken down from streaming platforms due to copyright infringement. The song included a line from Osupa’s work, prompting the Fuji musician and his distributors to file a complaint, leading to its removal from platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

Frustrated by the situation, Portable criticized Osupa in a viral video, accusing him of reporting the song and failing to support his career the way another Fuji artist, Pasuma, had done. He even referred to Osupa as “big for nothing.”

However, on Thursday, Portable shared a video on Instagram expressing remorse for his actions. He acknowledged receiving backlash online for disrespecting Osupa and attributed his reaction to his short temper.

In his apology, he pleaded for forgiveness, stating that money was at the root of their conflict. He also asked Osupa to accept him as a son.

“My fans, I have a hot temper, and I have said my piece. Please forgive me,” he said. “King Saheed Osupa, Oba Orin, please don’t be offended. Money is often the cause of disputes—between siblings, in relationships, and even between fathers and sons. This issue started over music royalties. I only found out the song had been removed when I went to collect payment. Please, my father, forgive me and accept me as your child.”
