A group of students and parents from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso has taken legal action against Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. This comes after the governor relocated the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences to Iseyin in the Oke Ogun geo-political zone, requiring second-year students to move there for the ongoing academic session. The plaintiffs, including Akintayo Abdulqoyuum Ajibola, Onwi Bassey Edet, Ezekiel Gbadegesin Ogunmola, and Prince Aderemi Olude, filed a suit at an Oyo State High Court in Ogbomoso. They are seeking a court order to prevent the governor and his agents from proceeding with the relocation. The claimants are also requesting the return of established courses from Iseyin Campus to the main campus and recalling the 200-level students to the original campus. The court has not yet scheduled a hearing date for the case.
