A tragic event occurred on Saturday morning in the Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos State when a multi-storey building on Oremeta Street collapsed, leaving several individuals feared trapped under the debris.
The building, which was still under construction, also hosted the popular EqualRight Restaurant, a well-known spot for both locals and visitors.
According to eyewitnesses, the collapse took place around 8:00 am, catching both residents and passersby by surprise. The exact number of casualties is still unclear, as rescue operations are currently ongoing at the site.
Emergency teams from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), fire services, and security personnel are actively working to assist those trapped.
