The funeral ceremony of a loved one once stirred public speculation about a possible romantic relationship between actress Omowunmi and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Chairman, MC Oluomo, due to his prominent presence at the event.
In response to the rumours at the time, Omowunmi addressed the issue on Instagram, firmly denying any romantic involvement with MC Oluomo. Following the backlash, she took a step back from her acting career and eventually relocated abroad.
In a recent interview with Oyinmomo TV, Omowunmi shared more insight into her personal life, clarifying her relationship with filmmaker Segun Ogungbe. She revealed that aside from a friend of her sibling based in Lagos, Ogungbe has never met any of her family members.
Although the two share two children, Omowunmi emphasized that Ogungbe is not her husband and urged the public to stop the online harassment and misinformation.
“To be clear, Segun Ogungbe and I were never married or engaged,” she stated. “We only have children together. He has never met any member of my family, apart from a friend of my sibling in Lagos. Segun himself can attest to this.”
