Nigerian singer Babatunde Rahim, professionally known as Lyta, has expressed his desire to return to the YBNL Nation record label owned by renowned rapper, songwriter, and record executive Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo.
This desire for a comeback follows previous discussions in 2019, where Lyta spoke about his departure from Olamide’s record label. Reports indicated that he left after claiming to have received an offer from another record label, sparking discussions among music enthusiasts questioning Olamide’s decision to release the young rapper.
However, in a recent conversation on the Ginger Yourself Podcast, Lyta clarified that his departure from YBNL was not intentional. He explained, “I want to reunite with YBNL. My exit from YBNL Nation wasn’t a deliberate move. I didn’t have any direct communication with Olamide before leaving. After I left, there was a lack of communication. But I’ve reached out to him since then. I messaged him on Instagram on his birthday, and he responded.”
Regarding Olamide’s Instagram activity, Lyta mentioned, “No, he’s not following anyone on Instagram.”
Recalling an interview in 2022, Lyta shed light on his departure, stating that he left YBNL Nation due to hearing multiple things from friends and industry insiders. He expressed confusion and feeling influenced by various opinions which led to his departure.
