Nigerian musician Chike, also known as Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, openly shares his preference for dating older women, highlighting his inclination towards more mature relationships.
In a recent appearance on the Unpack Podcast hosted by NAY, the ‘Running To You’ singer expressed his view that older women tend to communicate more effectively than younger ones. He emphasized that it’s often challenging to find younger women capable of genuine and mature communication, suggesting that most women become better communicators as they age.
Chike, 30, explained, “When seeking a woman who can truly communicate, it’s usually those who have gained some life experience and maturity, not someone as young as 23. A relationship with a much younger person might revolve around superficial interests like social media and image projection, lacking depth in communication and understanding.”
Acknowledging exceptions, he noted, “Occasionally, you do encounter younger women who display exceptional maturity, but they’re rare. Older women tend to possess the depth and maturity required for meaningful connections.”
He reflected on his own dating experiences, revealing, “In my past relationships, my partners have always been older than me. I simply cannot connect romantically with younger women. There’s a certain level of peace and understanding I seek, and I find that in older women.”
Chike also pointed out that he engages with younger women in a platonic manner, primarily those who are dedicated to their careers and have clear goals, rather than those who lack ambition or direction.
His stance highlights his preference for deeper, more meaningful connections based on shared vision and maturity rather than mere age considerations.
