ABUJA — A nationwide initiative has been launched to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible across Nigeria in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The project was unveiled on Sunday during a thanksgiving service at the National Christian Centre, Abuja. The event, organised by Seyi Tinubu’s friends and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), aims to promote moral renewal and ethical leadership among Nigerian youths.
According to the organisers, the Bibles will be distributed through churches, schools, and community groups to encourage integrity, compassion, and a stronger sense of civic responsibility.
Hon. Enwere clarified that the initiative was not intended as a personal celebration but as a contribution to the spiritual and moral development of young people.
“The One Million Bible Project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation. We hope this effort will help rekindle compassion, honesty, and love for humanity among young Nigerians,” Enwere said.
The thanksgiving service also took place simultaneously in about 40 churches across the country, featuring prayers and sermons focused on national renewal and spiritual rebirth.
Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, led the prayers and offered special intercessions for the Tinubu family and the nation. Clergymen from different denominations commended the project, describing it as timely and relevant, particularly amid the growing concern over moral decline in society.
In a message delivered on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed gratitude to the organisers, emphasizing that faith-based and moral education are vital tools for building responsible citizens and advancing national development.
The first batch of the Bibles was officially presented during the service and will soon be distributed to churches, schools, and youth organisations across Nigeria.
