A viral TikTok video has captured a preacher identified as Pastor Oloruntimilehin Daramola, urging his congregation to seek what he described as “fortification” for protection against violent attacks.

The clip, posted on a TikTok account bearing the username @kingbosoro, shows the preacher dressed in purple robes and wearing a cross necklace. The account profile describes him as the Founder of The Omnipotence Mission of God, though independent verification of his identity, the page ownership, or the recording date was not available as of the time of this report.

In the video, the cleric advised Nigerians to take defensive measures, even suggesting that citizens should be permitted to own guns. He also made comments about Nigeria’s unity, indicating that regions could separate peacefully if they wished.

He told followers to adopt methods that he claimed would repel armed attackers.

“Go and do something that can protect you. If they come with guns, their weapons should turn against one another,” he said.

He further made unusual suggestions, stating that attackers could be stopped through supernatural tactics, adding:

“Use something that will make them die before getting to your church, or let bees chase them.”

The preacher insisted that anyone in his congregation who refuses such “protection” would no longer be accepted in his church.

“I cannot allow anyone to kill my people. Any member who refuses to do it will be sent away,” he declared.

He claimed he could not be spiritually shielded while his members remained vulnerable, calling himself a “good shepherd.” Referring to past church attacks, he argued that calling on Jesus does not automatically save victims.

He cited incidents such as the Owo church attack in 2022 and other killings in Kaduna, claiming victims still died even after invoking Jesus’ name.

According to him, “Jesus had the power to save them, but He said, ‘We will meet in heaven.’”

The preacher also said his ministry has branches abroad and advised anyone interested in his method to meet him privately. Responding to criticism, he said he was not bothered if people called him a pastor who supports charms, adding humorously:

“I don’t have powers, but if you drop me on the ground, I will bite you.”

The controversial message trended amid ongoing security challenges across Nigeria, where communities continue to experience attacks on worship centres, schools, farms and homes.

Recent incidents include the deadly armed attack at Christ Apostolic Church, Eruku, Kwara State, in November 2025, where worshippers were killed and dozens abducted. Thirty-eight victims were later rescued.

A separate attack at St. Mary’s Catholic School, Papiri, Niger State, reportedly led to the abduction of more than 300 students and 12 staff. Some later escaped, though many remain missing.

The renewed conversation sparked by the viral video comes at a time of rising calls for improved security, better policing, and stronger protection for vulnerable communities nationwide.
