The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, has expressed willingness to collaborate with international and non-governmental organisations to strengthen healthcare services in Ibadan.

Speaking during a meeting at his palace in Oke-Aremo, the monarch welcomed representatives from the University of California Los Angeles, the Sadiat Toyin Lawal Foundation, and the Tabernacle Worship and Prayer Ministry based in California.

Ladoja emphasised that improving the health and wellbeing of residents remains a top priority for him, noting that access to quality healthcare is essential for community development. He assured the delegation of his full support in efforts aimed at enhancing medical services across Ibadanland.

To facilitate effective collaboration, the monarch disclosed that he had arranged discussions between the visiting team and officials of the Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, led by its Executive Secretary, Muideen Olatunji.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Toyin Lawal, explained that their visit was focused on building partnerships that would support healthcare outreach programmes across primary health centres, tertiary institutions, and local government areas.

She added that the group intends to donate medical equipment and other essential resources to boost healthcare delivery. According to her, a formal proposal has also been submitted, covering areas such as health education, advocacy, and public sensitisation.

The meeting was attended by several Ibadan chiefs, highlighting the importance of the proposed collaboration in improving healthcare services in the region.
