A man has been arrested by the police following the alleged killing of his wife in Igbo-Edu Village, Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to a report gathered by Drivetvnews, the incident occurred on Sunday, October 18, 2026, although the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death remain unclear.
The deceased’s body was reportedly severely burned, leaving it beyond recognition.
A video obtained by the publication showed the husband in a boat with his wife’s remains wrapped in a white sack. He was reportedly instructed to remove the sack from the boat and place it inside a car parked near the waterside.
When he was asked to open the sack, people at the scene reportedly reacted in shock after seeing the badly burned body, with the woman’s intestines visibly exposed.
The footage also showed the man restrained with a long chain, with a keg tied around his neck, as a crowd gathered at the scene.
The Nigeria Police Force subsequently arrived and arrested the husband in connection with the incident. Further details about the alleged killing were not immediately available.
