African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has identified the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the Ministry of Finance, and the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation as the three federal institutions he believes play major roles in enabling corruption in Nigeria.

Speaking during an interview with media personality Lucky Udu, Sowore alleged that widespread financial irregularities, including multiple payments for the same contracts, are linked to activities within the three offices.

He said that if elected president in the next general election, his administration would deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve transparency, eliminate waste, and strengthen accountability across government institutions.

According to Sowore, AI-powered systems would be able to detect irregular financial transactions, including attempts to make duplicate or multiple payments to contractors.

“If someone is trying to pay one contractor three times, the AI will detect it,” he said.

The former presidential candidate argued that adopting advanced technology would significantly reduce the influence of agencies he accused of facilitating corruption.

Sowore also outlined his vision for a technology-driven government, stating that his administration would embrace the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with a focus on artificial intelligence, advanced computing, blockchain technology, and decentralized banking.

He further predicted that digital currencies would become increasingly dominant globally, adding that central banking systems could eventually become outdated as financial technology continues to evolve.
