Joseph Aloba, the father of the late 27-year-old singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has shared more details about his son’s tragic death. In an interview with BBC Yoruba, Mr. Aloba revealed the events leading up to his son’s demise.
He pleaded with Nigerians to forgive him for burying his son quickly, explaining that no one loved his son more than he did. Mr. Aloba disclosed that before his death, Mohbad confided in him about Naira Marley’s alleged sinister side. Mohbad had experienced physical abuse multiple times, with the first incident reported to the police but no action taken.
As a pastor, Mr. Aloba expressed his religious beliefs prevented him from taking traditional measures to seek justice. He recounted the challenges he faced in handling his son’s death, emphasizing his love for Mohbad and his desperate need for justice.
