Nollywood Actor Mr Macaroni Responds to Backlash Over Criticism of Clergyman’s Remarks

Popular Nollywood actor and comedian, Adebowale Adedayo, commonly known as Mr Macaroni, faced criticism from Christian Twitter users after addressing comments made by a clergyman, Apostle Arome Osai. Recently, Apostle Arome criticized a pastor for using what he referred to as a ‘strange comedian’ to promote a church program.

In response to the clergyman’s remarks, Mr Macaroni took to his social media platform to address the ‘strange pastor.’ He strongly disagreed with the clergyman’s statements, calling them deceitful and based on half-truths. Mr Macaroni defended his content, stating that his comedy aims to educate and inform society, not promote negative values.

However, his reference to the clergyman as a ‘strange pastor’ received criticism from some Nigerians on Twitter, with claims that he was directly targeting Apostle Arome. Despite the backlash, Mr Macaroni stood by his criticism and expressed his disdain for those unhappy with his remarks about the clergyman.
