The City Boy Movement has dismissed its Oyo State Coordinator, Ahmed Ajibola, over allegations that he made insulting and derogatory remarks against President Bola Tinubu, Seyi Tinubu, and the organisation’s leadership.
Drivetvnews gathered that the decision was announced on Thursday in a statement issued by the Movement’s Director-General, Francis Shoga.
According to the statement, Ajibola’s removal followed disciplinary proceedings that began in June after a petition accused him of misconduct.
The Movement said that on June 2, 2026, Ajibola was formally notified of allegations that he made abusive and offensive comments against the national leadership, including the Director-General, as well as the Movement’s patron, Seyi Tinubu, and President Bola Tinubu.
He was also accused of insubordination, disrespect for constituted authority, and conduct considered damaging to the image of the organisation.
The statement further alleged that Ajibola challenged another leader of the Movement in Oyo State to a physical confrontation, an action the organisation described as unacceptable.
Following the allegations, the Movement directed him to submit a written defence within 48 hours, warning that disciplinary measures could follow if his response was unsatisfactory.
After reviewing the matter, the City Boy Movement announced his dismissal, saying it would not tolerate actions capable of undermining its leadership or bringing the organisation into disrepute.
