Police officers from Ajuwon Divisional Headquarters have apprehended a landlord known as Adesina for allegedly sexually assaulting and impregnating his tenant’s daughter on Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State. Police Spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident and stated that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department. Reports indicate that the 71-year-old man was caught engaging in sexual activity with the 14-year-old girl in the bathroom. The minor had gone to the bathroom to shower when the landlord entered and allegedly assaulted her.
Residents witnessed the incident and alerted the authorities, leading to the landlord’s arrest. Following a medical examination at Tamara Hospital in Akute, it was revealed that the teenager was already pregnant. Odutola mentioned, “The landlord has been taken into custody after the father reported the assault on his daughter. The State CID in Eleweran will be handling the case for further investigation.”
