Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has accused fellow artist Davido of planning to arrest him for defamation. The dispute between the two began in 2023 after Dammy Krane publicly criticized Davido over an alleged debt.

In a post on his X account on Thursday, Dammy Krane claimed that police are plotting to arrest him unlawfully on Davido’s orders. He alleged that there are plans to falsely accuse him of involvement in cryptocurrency scams, asserting that Davido should be held accountable for any harm that comes to him.

Dammy Krane stated, “If anything happens to me, @davido should be held responsible. Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me. They wrote a petition, falsely claiming that I am involved in Flutterwave and crypto scams just to arrest me. This is how they use corrupt officers to tarnish the reputation of the police.”

In the meantime, veteran fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, also known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has intervened in the conflict, urging Dammy Krane to cease his feud with Davido. Dammy Krane had previously accused Davido of being involved in the death of his late friend Tagbo, who passed away on Davido’s birthday in 2017.

During a live performance in the United States, KWAM 1 appealed for reconciliation between the two artists.
