Veteran Nollywood actress, Peju Ogunmola, has been thrown into mourning following the death of her son, Ayomikun Oluwanisola.

The sad news emerged on Tuesday, prompting an outpouring of condolences from colleagues and fans across the entertainment industry.

Actress Biola Adebayo was among the first to announce the tragedy in an Instagram post, describing the incident as “devastating and heartbreaking.” She prayed for God to comfort Ogunmola during this painful period.

Actor Odunlade Adekola also shared his sympathy, assuring the actress and her family of God’s consolation. Similarly, Kunle Afod expressed his grief, revealing that the news left his heart heavy.

Femi Adebayo described the loss as “a line too heavy for the stage,” stressing that no mother should have to endure such pain. He prayed for the late Ayomikun’s soul to find rest in Aljannah Firdaus.

Other actors, including Ibrahim Yekini (Itele D Icon), Adedimeji Lateef, and Muyiwa Ademola, also took to social media to express their sorrow, each noting the unbearable pain of a mother losing her only child.

Ogunmola, who is married to veteran actor Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Papi Luwe or Aluwe, has long been a respected figure in Yoruba cinema.

Tragically, the news of Ayomikun’s passing comes just weeks before his birthday, scheduled for October 12.
