The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, has urged authorities to take immediate action against those responsible for killings across Nigeria, insisting that offenders must be quickly arrested and prosecuted.

He made this call during the April 2026 Preservation and Power Communion Service held at the church in Abuja, where he expressed deep concern over the persistent insecurity in the country.

According to him, cases involving violent crimes should be handled with urgency, stressing that it should not take more than a few weeks—or at most a month—for suspects to be apprehended and brought to justice.

To support his argument, the cleric referenced an example of a foreign leader who reportedly tackled insecurity in his country’s capital by ordering the swift arrest of criminal gang leaders. He noted that the decisive move led to the dismantling of organised crime in that area.

Enenche emphasized that tackling crime effectively requires targeting those at the top, stating that addressing the root causes could significantly reduce violence. He also warned that failure to act decisively may raise concerns about negligence or possible complicity within the system.

He described the continued loss of lives as unacceptable and called for urgent collective action to address the situation.

The cleric further encouraged Nigerians to seek divine intervention through prayers while also urging authorities to fulfill their responsibility of protecting citizens.

His remarks come amid recent violent incidents in Plateau State, where several people were killed in attacks in parts of Jos, heightening concerns over security in the region.
