Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has agreed to a long-standing celebrity boxing challenge involving fellow actress Iyabo Ojo and show promoter Paulo Okoye, reigniting their ongoing public feud.
Drivetvnews gathered this In a post shared on social media, Anjorin confirmed her readiness to step into the ring, years after the match was first proposed.
“As of today, May 3, 2026, I accept your challenge,” she stated.
However, she introduced fresh conditions to the arrangement, insisting that Paulo must first fight her husband, Chief Lawal, in a 10-round bout before she faces Iyabo Ojo the following day.
Beyond the sporting aspect, Anjorin intensified the rivalry by challenging both Paulo and Ojo to publicly present evidence of their wealth and achievements.
The development marks another chapter in the prolonged dispute between the two actresses, which has played out across social media, legal battles, and public exchanges over the years.
The conflict, believed to stem from both personal and professional disagreements, escalated in 2025 when Iyabo Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin. Although the case was later struck out on procedural grounds, Ojo indicated she would pursue further legal action.
The renewed boxing proposal comes amid a growing trend of celebrity fights in Nigeria’s entertainment scene. Recently, street-pop star Portable lost a widely publicised bout to comedian Carter Efe, drawing significant attention to such events.
Anjorin’s acceptance of the challenge is expected to further fuel public interest as fans watch closely to see whether the proposed showdown will eventually take place.
