Former Nigerian leader, Goodluck Jonathan, has paid tribute to the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, marking 16 years since his passing, and describing him as a humble and principled leader.

Jonathan praised Yar’Adua’s leadership style, describing him as selfless and deeply devoted to the nation’s stability above personal or political interests. He added that the late president’s calm approach and strong convictions made a lasting impact on governance in Nigeria.
He also pointed to Yar’Adua’s efforts in peace-building, particularly his role in fostering stability, as one of his enduring contributions to the country.
