Fuji music legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (Kwam 1) has responded to allegations by a woman, Ogechi Eleana, who claimed he fathered and abandoned her 12-year-old daughter, Azizat.
Drivetvnews gathered that the singer addressed the issue while performing at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Onikate of Ikate, Oba Lateef Adams. In a video shared by his media aide, Kunle Rasheed, Kwam 1 dismissed the allegations without confirming any relationship with the woman.
Mocking the public nature of the claims, the Fuji star suggested that people with such allegations should simply take them to social media platforms.
“Turn on your Bluetooth, go to TikTok, go to Facebook. Anyone with an unnecessary pregnancy should treat it like a giveaway. These children shouldn’t kill me. Take it to TikTok and other social media platforms,” he said.
Woman alleges seven-year relationship
The controversy began after Eleana, in an interview with Feel Right News TV, claimed she worked as Kwam 1’s pedicurist and was involved in a romantic relationship with him for more than seven years.
According to her, she became pregnant during the relationship and informed the singer, who allegedly urged her to terminate the pregnancy and offered to finance the abortion. She claimed she refused, after which he allegedly cut off all communication with her.
Eleana further alleged that she sought help from the late Kabiru Agbabiaka, who reportedly reached out to the musician on her behalf. She also claimed that Kwam 1’s mother became emotional after meeting the child, saying the girl bore a strong resemblance to the singer.
Daughter appeals for help
Azizat, who appeared alongside her mother during the interview, appealed to Kwam 1 to acknowledge and support her.
The 12-year-old said she had dropped out of school and dreams of becoming a musician, revealing that she has already written songs inspired by her life experiences.
She lamented that despite hearing her father is wealthy and generous to others, she has never benefited from his support, adding that her mother has struggled to raise her alone.
Not the first allegation
This is not the first time Kwam 1 has faced public accusations over parental responsibilities.
In 2024, actress Bisola Badmus accused the Fuji icon of neglecting their son, Malik, and failing to provide financial support. However, the pair later reconciled publicly during an event in Ikeja.
The latest allegations have once again brought the singer’s private life into public discussion, although he has yet to directly address the paternity claims.
