The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has claimed that some members of the international community may support opposition parties against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
Drivetvnews gathered In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele said Tinubu possesses the political strength to defeat opposition parties locally, but warned that foreign powers could become a major challenge to his re-election ambition.
“The international community will not support Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027. The president has all it takes to win the election, but the international community will be a major obstacle to his victory,” he said.
He further alleged that countries such as the United States, United Kingdom and the European Union may align with opposition groups to unseat the president.
Ayodele also stated that any opposition candidate hoping to defeat Tinubu must be prepared for a fierce political battle.
“Tinubu is ready for anything to win the election. It will not be business as usual because he is ready to fight anyone or anything that wants to stop him from winning the election. Opposition parties must prepare adequately; it will not be easy for them,” he added.
The cleric again stressed that opposition parties would struggle to defeat the ruling party if they remain divided ahead of the 2027 polls.
“A divided opposition stands no chance against Tinubu. They should all come together if they are after removing Tinubu from power,” he said.
