Social media activist and influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has given the Federal Government a four-day deadline to secure the release of the schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oyo State.
Reacting to a video showing one of the kidnapped teachers appealing for help, VDM expressed deep concern over the continued captivity of the victims, describing their situation as heartbreaking.
According to him, the uncertainty surrounding the condition of the abducted pupils and teachers has become increasingly disturbing, especially as they have remained in captivity for about two weeks.
He stated that if the government fails to rescue the victims or negotiate their release within four days, he would take independent steps to seek their freedom. VDM said he plans to launch a fundraising campaign and explore negotiations aimed at securing the release of the abductees.
The activist noted that he is prepared to face any consequences that may arise from such actions, stressing that his primary concern is ensuring the safe return of the children to their families and the teachers to their loved ones.
VDM said the emotional impact of the victims’ ordeal has become difficult for him to ignore, adding that urgent action is needed to bring the crisis to an end.
His comments come amid growing public concern over the abduction and increasing calls for authorities to intensify efforts to rescue the victims.
