The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) is actively seeking former beauty queen Ms. Aderinoye Queen Christmas, also known as Ms. Queen Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, in connection to alleged illicit drug activities.Aderinoye, the ex-Miss Commonwealth Nigeria Culture 2015/2016 and founder of the Queen Christmas Foundation, managed to evade NDLEA operatives during a raid at her Lekki, Lagos residence, prompted by credible intelligence. Consequently, the agency has officially declared her as a wanted individual.The search conducted at her Oral Estate, Lekki home revealed compelling evidence, including 606 grams of Canadian Loud (a synthetic cannabis strain), an electronic weighing scale, substantial drug packaging materials, a black RAV 4 SUV with license plate Lagos KSF 872 GQ, and her picture frame.Simultaneously, NDLEA detained Udechukwu Ekene Theophilus, a Brazil returnee, at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos for ingesting 60 wraps of cocaine. Despite initially refusing a body scan, the suspect later admitted to ingesting the drugs.NDLEA’s operations spanned across the nation, resulting in significant drug seizures and arrests. Notable events included the recovery of cannabis at a Badagry fuel station, the apprehension of suspects in Yobe and Kano with substantial cannabis quantities, and interceptions of drug trafficking syndicates in Ogun and Lagos.NDLEA Chairman/CEO Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) commended officers for their exceptional work, stressing the significance of a balanced approach to drug supply reduction and drug demand reduction through the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) advocacy campaign.
