Popular social media commentator Ojaigho Prosper, widely known as GehGeh, has expressed concerns over TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly called Peller, moving forward with his marriage plans to his partner, Elizabeth Aminata, also known as Jarvis.
Peller recently announced that he had completed the traditional bride price ceremony for Jarvis during a family introduction event. Sharing moments from the occasion on social media, he described it as a significant milestone in their relationship.
Reacting to the development, GehGeh argued that financial stability should not be the only factor considered before entering marriage. According to him, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual preparedness are equally important.
In a post shared on his X account, GehGeh questioned the widespread support for Peller’s decision, stating that many people were focusing solely on his financial capability while overlooking other aspects of marital readiness.
He further suggested that the TikTok star is still young and has room for personal growth before taking such a major step. GehGeh also revealed that he had previously advised Peller against rushing into marriage but claimed his counsel was ignored.
The social media personality challenged supporters of the union to consider whether they would encourage younger relatives to marry at a similar age.
His remarks have generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users agreeing that marriage requires more than financial resources, while others defended Peller’s decision, insisting that he is mature enough to make choices about his personal life.
The traditional introduction ceremony comes only weeks after Peller proposed to Jarvis at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, where she accepted his proposal.
