Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has defended President Bola Tinubu’s administration, urging Nigerians to give the government more time before judging the impact of its policies and reforms.

Speaking during an interview with FeelrightnewsTV, Kosoko said assessing the administration at this stage would be premature, likening governance to constructing a building that should only be evaluated after completion.

“You cannot assess a building and give it a pass mark until it is completed,” he said.

The actor acknowledged that President Tinubu is not without flaws, stressing that no human leader is perfect.

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not God. That means he cannot be perfect,” Kosoko stated.

He also alleged that opposition figures and some activists were influencing public opinion against the administration, particularly among young Nigerians.

According to him, many critics shape narratives that the public, especially Gen Z, easily adopts.

“The so-called activists, we know how they take money from government but come out to influence citizens. But when we speak in support of the government, people accuse us of being paid,” he said.

Despite expressing support for the Tinubu administration, Kosoko admitted that Nigerians are experiencing economic hardship.

However, he argued that distributing cash directly to citizens is not a practical solution given the country’s population, adding that the government’s reforms should be allowed more time to produce results.
