Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said lasting peace cannot be guaranteed by any government, stressing that true peace comes only from God.
Drivetvnews gathered that Oyedepo made the remark on Sunday while ministering at the dedication of Dreamland, Master’s City, the new worship centre of Master’s Place International Church in Warri, Delta State.
According to a statement issued by the church’s media unit, the bishop spoke on the theme “Why Do We Dedicate Places of Worship?”, drawing his message from Romans 15:4.
He explained that church buildings are dedicated because they belong to God, whom he described as the true owner and builder of every sanctuary.
“God is the owner and builder of His Church. Behind every sanctuary is God, so we are dedicating it to the Owner. The glory of God will fill His house, and this sanctuary shall be His habitation and a house of salvation,” he said.
Addressing the congregation, Oyedepo urged Christians to seek peace from God rather than depending on earthly authorities.
“No government in this world can give you peace, neither can you find it in the market. It is only God that can give you peace,” he declared.
The dedication ceremony also featured the reordination of the Senior Pastor of Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, and his wife, Pastor Esther Komaiya, as part of what was described as a fresh consecration for the next phase of their ministry.
Congratulating the church on the completion of its new worship complex, Oyedepo prayed for greater accomplishments.
“Congratulations. The best is yet to come. Receive fresh grace today to remain faithful and consistent with God,” he said.
The event coincided with the International Founders Conference 2026 and attracted thousands of worshippers alongside prominent Christian leaders, including Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Rev. Tony Akinyemi, Rev. Samuel Olubiyo, and Pastor Yemi Davids.
In his remarks, Pastor Korede Komaiya thanked God for the successful completion of the project and expressed appreciation to the senior ministers who supported the church.
“We are grateful to God for the gift of men and for the lives that continue to impact generations through their ministries. To God alone be all the glory,” he said.
