Apostle Joshua Aghasedo of Powerline Church has said that the use of sex toys by married couples does not amount to sin, describing them as tools that can assist spouses in their intimate lives.
Drivetvnews gathered that the clergyman made the remarks while speaking to his congregation in a video shared on the church’s YouTube channel.
Aghasedo compared such devices to everyday equipment such as cars and mobile phones, arguing that modern technology can sometimes assist married couples with intimacy.
He stressed, however, that his comments were strictly within the context of marriage.
According to him, he had previously suggested the use of such a device to a married couple after considering their circumstances, saying it could potentially help prevent relationship difficulties.
The pastor maintained that using such devices outside the marital context was different from the situation he was addressing and described the matter according to his personal religious interpretation.
His comments have sparked discussion, as religious and cultural views differ widely on the subject.
