The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has announced September 10 and September 30, 2026, as the deadlines for registration for its 2026 November/December examinations.
Drivetvnews gathered that the examinations comprise the National Business Certificate (NBC), National Technical Certificate (NTC), Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC), Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC), as well as the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination.
NABTEB disclosed this on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in a statement issued in Benin City by its Assistant Director, Media/Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah.
According to Olisah, registration for the examinations began on August 10, 2026, following a directive contained in an August 7 internal memorandum signed by the Director of Examinations Administration, Chigoziem Susan Metu.
He explained that registration for the November/December NBC, NTC, ANBC and ANTC examinations would close on Thursday, September 10, while candidates registering for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination have until Wednesday, September 30.
NABTEB also announced the approved registration fees as N22,500 for NBC/NTC, N25,500 for ANBC/ANTC and N6,000 for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination.
The examination body urged prospective candidates, schools, technical and vocational institutions, apprenticeship centres and other stakeholders to begin and complete their registration before the respective deadlines.
Candidates and members of the public were also advised to obtain registration information only through NABTEB’s authorised channels and strictly follow the approved requirements to prevent errors, delays or other complications.
Olisah said the examinations form part of NABTEB’s mandate to provide credible, competency-based assessment and certification in business and technical education.
He added that the examinations would contribute to the development of skilled manpower while promoting technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as a pathway to economic empowerment and self-reliance.
