The remains of late Nollywood actress and producer, Temitope Osoba, will be laid to rest in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
Drivetvnews gathered that her family announced the burial arrangements in an obituary shared on the actress’ Instagram account on Monday.
According to the family, Osoba’s remains will be taken from the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, at 9am. The burial service is scheduled to hold between 10am and 11am at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.
The interment will take place immediately after the service at the Iperu Remo Cemetery. The family also announced white as the dress code for the ceremony.
Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, died in August 2026 at the age of 40.
The Yoruba-language actress and filmmaker spent close to two decades in the Nigerian entertainment industry and featured in several productions, including Oogun Mi.
Before her death, Osoba had publicly spoken about her battle with breast cancer and appealed for financial assistance for treatment and surgery.
In August 2025, she announced that she had recovered and was returning to acting, describing the period as a time of healing, rebranding and empowerment.
However, questions surrounding the circumstances of her death have persisted following conflicting accounts from her fiancé and members of her family.
Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, claimed that she died after being taken to a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos. Members of her family reportedly provided a different account of what happened during her final hours.
Actor Yomi Fabiyi subsequently called for an investigation and autopsy to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
Following the controversy, Osoba’s family cautioned against spreading unverified information about her death and urged the public and media to rely on statements issued through the family’s official channels.
Her burial was initially scheduled for August 13 in Iperu Remo but was postponed indefinitely.
The family has now confirmed September 10 as the new date for her final burial.
