Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has defended President Bola Tinubu, arguing that the President should not be held solely responsible for the challenges currently facing Nigeria.
Drivetvnews gathered that Anuku made the remarks during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he appealed to Nigerians to be more patient with the Tinubu administration.
The actor said Nigerians were expecting immediate improvements, despite the fact that the country’s problems had developed over several administrations.
According to him, previous governments also played a role in creating the difficulties Nigeria is experiencing today, and Tinubu should therefore not be blamed for all of them.
Anuku urged Nigerians to give the President more time, saying he believed the administration was making progress.
He also expressed the view that Nigerians should be cautious about demanding a change of leadership without considering the possible alternative.
His comments have generated discussions online, particularly around the performance of the Tinubu administration, the country’s longstanding challenges and the expectations of Nigerians.
