Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother, revealing that she passed away after a prolonged illness.
The actress shared the sad news on Monday through her official Instagram page, alongside photographs of her late mother.
In her tribute, Ade expressed her grief and accepted the loss as the will of Almighty Allah. She prayed for her mother’s forgiveness, mercy and eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
She also prayed for strength and patience for the family as they cope with the loss, adding that funeral arrangements would be announced later.
The actress said her mother left behind children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones who would continue to cherish her memory.
Ade concluded her message with an emotional farewell, expressing her love for her mother and praying that they would reunite in Jannah.
Following the announcement, colleagues, friends and fans from the entertainment industry flooded her social media page with condolence messages.
Actor Yemi Solade expressed sympathy and prayed for the peaceful repose of her mother’s soul, while actress Sophie Alakija also sent her condolences.
Other celebrities, including Eso Dike, Damilola Oni, Rotimi Salami and Linda Osifo, joined in mourning the deceased and offering prayers for the bereaved family.
