Members of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended the nurse responsible for treating the late Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, famously known as Mohbad, prior to his passing.
Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, revealed this development following her visit to Lagos State Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa.
Through a video shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday night, the Nollywood actress updated her followers on her meeting with the Police commissioner and the ongoing police inquiry into Mohbad’s demise.
She stated, “The police have taken some individuals into custody [related to Mohbad’s passing]. The nurse has been detained, as far as I’m aware. That’s the extent of the information I can provide at this time.
“They have apprehended multiple individuals and are requesting that others voluntarily present themselves.”
It is worth recalling that James Aloba, Mohbad’s father, expressed suspicions in an interview, suggesting that the auxiliary nurse who administered an injection to Mohbad before his death may have exacerbated his son’s health issues.
Earlier, it was reported that the Lagos State Police Command had formed a 13-member special investigation team to delve into the abrupt demise of the singer.
