Football star Paul Pogba has recently expressed feeling “dead” in his current state of life, a sentiment underscored by his ongoing four-year ban from professional football. Pogba, once hailed as one of football’s brightest talents, notably excelled during his initial tenure at Juventus and continued to impress after his record-breaking return to Manchester United.
However, his second stint at Old Trafford was marred by persistent fitness concerns, prompting his departure back to Juventus on a free transfer in 2022, with hopes of reclaiming his former glory. Unfortunately, his first season back with Juventus mirrored his final seasons in England, plagued again by fitness issues that prevented him from completing a full 90 minutes throughout the campaign.
During the early stages of his subsequent season (2023-2024) with Juventus, Pogba faced additional setbacks when he failed a random doping test. Subsequent tests also returned positive results, resulting in a stringent four-year suspension from football at the age of 30.
In a poignant video interview that circulated widely, the now 31-year-old Pogba candidly reflected on his situation, lamenting the unpredictable nature of football. He stated, “Football is very beautiful but it’s cruel. You can do something great and the next day you’re nobody. I’m over, I’m dead. Paul Pogba doesn’t exist anymore.”
