Nigerian musician David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, and his newly married wife Chioma have kicked off their honeymoon in a grand style. According to reports from Drivetvnews, Davido weded his long-time partner Chioma in a big ceremony held in Lagos on Wednesday. The event was attended by prominent figures from the entertainment industry, as well as top politicians and businessmen.

Following the wedding, Davido took to social media to share pictures, including one featuring a private jet with the caption, “Let’s first launch this one.” Although the destination of their honeymoon has not been disclosed, a viral video circulating on social media captured the couple boarding the private jet in Lagos, accompanied by Davido’s team members such as Asa Asika, Lati, and Chioma’s manager, Ubi Franklin.

Drivetvnews reported an emotional moment just before Chioma became Davido’s wife, as the singer was seen shedding tears while promising to take care of his new in-laws’ daughter. Chioma was seen comforting him during this heartfelt exchange.

During their wedding festivities, Davido also surprised Chioma with a car, and the couple received warm wishes and monetary gifts from their family and friends. They are parents to twins born the previous year, but also faced the tragic loss of their first child, Ifeanyi, in 2022. Davido has children from previous relationships as well.
