Nigerian entrepreneur Obi Cubana has opened up about the serious health issues his wife experienced. During an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Cubana revealed that his wife’s condition deteriorated significantly after childbirth.

Cubana noted that the illness triggered unfounded rumors accusing him of using his wife for ritualistic purposes. He shared that a professor from her medical team informed him that while she would survive, she might be unable to walk again or have more children.

Cubana admitted that this news was devastating, but his wife stayed strong and reassured him of her recovery and her commitment to their child. He recounted, “After giving birth on Valentine’s Day, my wife fell ill with a severe and unusual condition. I was shocked when I heard accusations that I had used her for juju. The medical care was fragmented, with different doctors handling different aspects.

“A professor told me that although my wife would survive, she might not walk again or have more children. This news broke me. Yet, my wife consoled me, saying, ‘Don’t listen to them; we’ll get through this.’ Despite my tears that night, she promised, ‘I will walk again and raise our baby.’”
