Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has recently become involved in the ongoing dispute between Mama Mohbad and the late singer Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi.

The conflict, which has been widely discussed on social media, centers around an audio recording in which Mama Mohbad disparaged Wunmi, accusing her of betrayal among other things. The core issue involves who removed Mohbad’s belongings from his residence, with both sides accusing each other of responsibility.

Following the increased online attention, Iyabo Ojo took to TikTok to share her perspective. She expressed frustration with the situation, explaining that the owners of Mohbad’s house had requested that his family collect his belongings. Wunmi was hesitant to do so due to the accusations she faced, and Mama Mohbad was also reluctant. Iyabo Ojo suggested that Mohbad’s younger brother, Adura, or another family member should assist with the task.

Iyabo Ojo elaborated that the situation was exacerbated by rumors and misunderstandings. She recounted that Mama Mohbad felt Wunmi had accused her of sending someone else to pack Mohbad’s belongings, which led to further conflicts. Iyabo Ojo had tried to mediate by advising Wunmi to address the insults she was receiving online and to clarify the situation. However, she noted that both parties experienced communication issues, with missed calls and a video circulating online that led to more attacks on Wunmi. Iyabo Ojo expressed her intention to resolve the issues once she returned to Lagos.

In a separate TikTok audio, Iyabo Ojo denied claims that she had requested Mama Mohbad to withhold information that could aid in seeking justice for Mohbad. She emphasized her belief that any useful information should be shared to support the case, and she would never discourage Mama Mohbad from revealing critical details. Iyabo Ojo stressed her commitment to pursuing justice through the appropriate channels rather than relying on social media judgments.

Iyabo Ojo also revealed that she had withdrawn from the case due to mounting pressure from her family and friends, who were concerned about the negative attention she was receiving. Despite this, she affirmed her support for Wunmi, which was influenced by Mama Mohbad’s positive remarks about her. Iyabo Ojo concluded that if there is substantial evidence, it should be reported to the authorities rather than being withheld. She highlighted Mama Mohbad’s consistent support for Wunmi as a significant factor in her own stance on the matter.
