Portable, the street-pop artist currently in the spotlight, has apologized after a recent incident where he slapped a pastor who came to preach at his bar.

According to Drivetvnews, the altercation was captured on video just a few days ago.

Since the incident, Portable has faced significant backlash from both the public and other pastors, some of whom are considering taking legal action for his actions against a religious figure.

In a video shared late Monday night, Portable attempted to clarify his behavior, attributing it to his past experiences. He expressed regret and sought forgiveness from God, explaining that he mistook the preacher’s intentions.

Portable said, “My fans, issues in the community differ from those in the street. I ask for God’s forgiveness, as I didn’t realize the preacher was genuinely a man of God. Had I known, I wouldn’t have reacted that way.

“I’m also a child of God and not perfect. I’m an orphan and have experienced harm through similar situations before.”
