Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has voiced deep concern over what he described as a global decline in moral values. Speaking at the church’s monthly thanksgiving service in Lagos, Nigeria, he highlighted two unsettling events as signs of the changing times.

The first incident involved one of the church’s pastors who was detained abroad for greeting an audience with the phrase “ladies and gentlemen.” This greeting was criticized as discriminatory, reflecting the increasing sensitivity around gender identity and inclusivity.

In another case, Pastor Adeboye recounted the story of a woman who referred to her dog as her husband. When asked about her spouse, she nonchalantly explained that she had taken “him” to the vet, raising concerns about the erosion of traditional values and societal norms.

Addressing his congregation, Pastor Adeboye urged believers to remain steadfast in their faith amid these moral challenges. “The end is near,” he warned. “Do not let anyone weaken your resolve. God is holy.” He stressed the importance of genuine commitment to Christianity and cautioned against complacency.

According to Adeboye, these incidents are indicative of the end times. He called on Christians to take their faith seriously and resist temptations that could lead them astray. “I want to see you in my Father’s house,” he concluded, emphasizing the need for spiritual diligence and vigilance.
