At the start of each new year, people often pray, express wishes for a prosperous year, or set personal goals to avoid negative experiences. This practice is also common among Christians, especially in Africa, where there is significant anticipation for new prophecies from religious leaders and pastors.

These prophetic messages are typically shared during New Year’s Eve services, marking the transition from December 31st to January 1st. Despite warnings from authorities urging caution when delivering prophecies, spiritual leaders continue to announce their predictions.

Several prophecies for 2025 have already been shared, with notable figures in the Christian community offering their insights. Below are some of the key messages:

Pastor Enoch Adeboye
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the Senior Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), spoke to his congregation at the church’s headquarters in Ogun State during the New Year’s Eve service. He shared that 2025 would be a year people would never forget. While expressing caution in predicting events in Nigeria, he assured that the country would play a significant role in global affairs.

Bishop David Oyedepo
Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church (also known as Winners Chapel), delivered a prophecy during the New Year’s Eve service at his church in Ota, Ogun State. He declared 2025 as a year of proper beginnings, a time for individuals to align their lives with righteousness. He emphasized that no prophet can force God’s will to manifest and that it is an individual’s faith that will determine whether prophecies come to fruition.

Pastor Daniel Olukoya
Pastor Daniel Olukoya, founder and Senior Pastor of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, declared that 2025 would be a year of remarkable victory. He described it as a time of divine intervention, restoration, and the rise of leaders who will bring about positive change. However, he also warned that prayerlessness would bring great danger, and that prayer would be crucial to navigating economic hardships, political instability, and potential disasters such as floods and new diseases.

Pastor Jerry Eze
Pastor Jerry Eze, Senior Pastor of Streams of Joy Ministry, shared with his congregation that 2025 would be a year of breakthroughs, where obstacles would be turned into celebrations. He spoke of daily miracles and how people would be inspired to uplift and encourage the global community, making the year one of great positivity and inspiration.

Pastor William Kumuyi
Pastor William Kumuyi, Senior Pastor of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, also shared his prophecy for 2025. He described the year as one of joy and prosperity, filled with blessings beyond expectation. He emphasized that believers would experience a journey that would be unpredictable to their adversaries, reinforcing the hope for divine favor and success.

These prophecies highlight a shared message of hope, divine intervention, and the importance of faith and prayer in overcoming challenges in 2025.
