Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda, deeply affected by the loss of his friend Mohbad, has pledged to care for Mohbad’s child, Liam, in response to calls for a DNA test to confirm paternity. Despite being urged to stop mourning, Bella Shmurda expressed his ongoing struggle with Mohbad’s passing, revealing his reliance on alcohol to cope. He lamented that his own son, Abiola Imole, would grow up without knowing his namesake.
Bella Shmurda vowed to preserve Mohbad’s legacy and ensure Liam’s well-being. Sharing a photo of Mohbad, he wrote, “I hope you’re okay where you are, as I’ve been struggling to find happiness since your departure. Abiola Imole may never know you, but I’ll share your story and care for our son. Passing on all the love to our sons. Lowkey, I’m Bell and Sons Inc.”
