President Bola Tinubu Outlines Vision for Nigeria’s Future Prosperity
During the 55th International Conference, Exhibition, and Emerald Anniversary of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu expressed his vision to transform Nigeria into a nation of builders, emphasizing prosperity for present and future generations. Tinubu, speaking through Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkiru Onyejiocha, highlighted the need to eradicate poverty and ensure gainful employment for every citizen.
Stressing the importance of human resources in shaping the country’s destiny, Tinubu underscored his commitment to creating a Nigeria where individuals have employment opportunities and the ability to support themselves and their families, striving collectively to eliminate poverty.
The President outlined plans for increased industrial activity, focusing on establishing unique industrial hubs tailored to each region’s strengths. He emphasized the link between ending poverty, economic growth, and job creation, recognizing that sustainable development hinges on abundant job opportunities, food security, and poverty eradication.
Tinubu also emphasized the critical role of HR practitioners in effectively managing and shaping people as catalysts for economic resurgence in a dynamic, competitive world. Additionally, Olusegun Mojeed, the President and Chairman of Council at CIPM, highlighted the pivotal role of sustainable people practices in fostering cultural, national, and infrastructural development. Talent supply, he stressed, is vital in shaping conditions for organizations and nations to thrive.
